SENIOR ARCHITECT – PROJECT MANAGER

We are seeking a Senior Architect – Project Manager with 10–15 years of experience to join our team at the Milan office.
The Senior Architect is a key role within the practice, responsible for the integrated management of complex projects, from concept definition to final delivery. With solid professional experience, the Senior Architect coordinates multidisciplinary teams, ensuring design excellence, operational efficiency, and adherence to the studio’s financial objectives. Acting as the main point of contact for the client, the role guides the entire design process across all its phases.

Excellent command of both Italian and English is required, along with availability to start in the short term.

ROLE PURPOSE

1. TECHNICAL AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of architectural practice across all phases: concept design, technical development, construction details, materials, execution techniques, MEP integration, and cost control.

  • Ability to propose high-quality design solutions and lead the team in the production of drawings, presentations, 3D models, and technical documentation.

  • Excellent command of Italian and good technical English, essential to support production within international contexts.

Management Skills

  • Proven experience in coordinating specialized disciplines, ensuring technical consistency and multidisciplinary integration throughout the project.

  • Expertise in defining project scope, estimating fees and costs, and preparing economic proposals and contracts aligned with the company’s margin objectives.

  • Oversight of project control processes: monitoring timelines, costs, resources, and margins, in coordination with administration and management.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Leadership and motivation of the design team, with task assignment, guidance, and efficient workflow management.

  • Transfer of technical and managerial know-how to support internal growth and foster design innovation within the studio.

OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Project Coordination

  • Planning, coordinating, and managing all design phases: from concept to delivery.

  • Implementation of strategic plans and definition of priorities, objectives, and monitoring criteria.

  • Supervision of the production of presentations, technical documents, and administrative materials in line with studio standards.

Client and Partner Management

  • Acting as the main point of reference for the client throughout the entire project lifecycle.

  • Managing communication with clients to ensure alignment on objectives, budget, schedule, and quality.

  • Coordination of external consultants, contractors, and partners, ensuring effective integration and collaboration.

Operational Control

  • Managing project and operational issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent extra costs and inefficiencies.

  • Supporting the preparation of technical and financial reporting for management and clients.
