Amazon Milano. Innovative architecture for an ideal work space

GBPA ARCHITECTS – ED. PUBLICOMM

I’m very excited about an editorial project that I have been following for almost a year and that has finally become a reality!

I am proud to present the monograph of the architectural project of the Monte Grappa 3 building, now the headquarters of Amazon in Milan, to which the architects Antonio Gioli and Federica De Leva have dedicated two years of work. Two years summarized in 180 pages in which, in collaboration with Antirion, Amazon, Tekne, Arup, IA Architecture and JLL, we explained the project in every respect, creating an architectural thread between the past and the future: the past context (years ’70-’M 80) and the present (the modern Milan of Porta Nuova), the concept, the heart of the project that inspired the new architecture of the exteriors and interiors, the construction phases. A book full of contents, but also of many beautiful photographic images.

I thank all those who believed in the project: Angelo Dadda and all the staff of Publicomm srl for the editorial support, the companies that, with their own contribution, have created an idea: Artemide, barth, Garofoli Group, Ceramiche Dolomite, Kristalia, Lea Ceramiche, Liuni SpA, Tommaso Melideo di Studio-Quantica, Omnitex Srl, PICHLER, Saba, Zumtobel and Lineaser. I thank the photographers Oskar da Ritz for Pichler, Marco introini, Jurgen Eheim for Zumtobel, Stefano Gusmeroli, Catia Tramacere e Ulderico Tramacere per Amazon, Barbara Corsico for IA Architecture.

The monograph will forever be a testimony of an important work of refurbishment and rebirth of a building that reconnects with a Milan in continuous evolution.

Thanks!
