Milanofiori Sviluppo Immobiliare srl has commissioned GBPA architects to design the new U3 building for tertiary use in the urban sector of Milanofiori in Assago.
The project develops the typology of the directional building in line, with double body, placed perpendicularly to the highway A7, position that gives it a great visibility.
The building of about 12,000 square meters. consists of nine floors above the level of the existing elevated square and two floors, below, at destination parking.
The building looks like a transparent volume, closed between two light wings. On the highway the front is narrow and soaring; on the back facing the green area, the front opens onto terraces and is designed to enjoy views of the park, the green heart of the’built of milanofiori. The north and south views instead define the image of the building. which is characterized by a particular and moving effect, played by the refraction of light on the blinds, differently oriented, in white screen-printed glass.
The southern façade, in particular, seems to be suspended, revealing the transparent rectangular volume, which strengthens the internal-external relationship. The reception, as a focal point of access, finds a certain visual position thanks to the frame of two opaque fifths.
The property meets the criteria of green building with the certification LEED GOLD.
